Celebrating Community Service in Washington County, MD!

On December 2nd, The Community Foundation of Washington County Maryland Incorporated celebrated one of 2025 People’s Choice Award recipients, Stephen Hummel.

We were thrilled to be able to honor Stephen whose service to this community spans many causes and touches a variety of lives. Stephen has served at many nonprofits, including the BISFA Foundation, St. Mary’s Parish, WCPS, Discovery Station and many more.

In his honor, they've created a $7,500 endowment fund, which will be named The Saint Mary Catholic School Tuition Assistance Fund in Honor of Stephen Hummel. This fund will grow over time and directly benefit tuition assistance for students attending the school.
